Colors at Danton Montessori opened its doors in May 2015 in Mississauga. Since then, we take pleasure in providing childcare services, closely aligned with the policies and guidelines of Ministry of Education Ontario. Children are served according to their age group:
- Toddlers - 12 to 30 months
- Preschool - 2 1/2 to 4 years
- Kindergarten - 4 to 7 years
Management of the Colors at Danton is committed to serve the community under the light of "How does learning happen ?" Colors at Danton is consistent with the Minster's policy statement on programming and pedagogy issued under the subsection 55 (3) of the Act to Support Children's Learning and Development under its care.
At Colors at Danton we implement combined techniques of Dr. Maria Montessori and Reggio Emilia. For instance, Reggio Emilia allows children to learn at their individual pace and choose their own hands on activities to help them learn and grow. Similarly, Dr. Maria Montessori's beautiful saying; "help me to learn by myself " also encourages independence and personal responsibility. They both developed their teaching theories based on careful observation of what children revealed about their developmental needs.
Our mission is to focus on the early development which is fundamental for the growth of children. Colors at Danton provides an all-inclusive, safe, and caring environment for children where they play, learn, share, laugh and grow together.
We are committed to structure and sustain unique educational developmentally appropriate program that supports and enhances children's physical, intellectual, social, emotional and cognitive norms.
We have teamed up with leading educational experts to make your child’s first learning experience a cherished and unforgettable one. We are licensed under the Ministry of Education Ontario. Our teachers are Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECE) qualified.
